No fun

Somewhere in here is our kitchen...

For those of you who don't know, unpacking is no fun, and I mean no fun. Sure, you find those items that you forgot you had and it feels like Christmas but besides that brief encounter with excitement the rest is boxes, papers, and crazy chaotic mess! Don't get me wrong, I am so, so happy to be in our home (finally) and have my things again. Just give me a few more days to get settled and then I'll turn this frown upside down.

Just one of those days....

Do you ever have one of those days that you just wish you could go back to bed and go ahead and skip to the next day? Well that is today for me. Last night was a rough night with little Keely. After several weeks of sleeping nights, we've hit a bump in the road. This week has been full of sleepless nights and I'm stumped! After talking to a good buddy of mine all that I can think is that Keely is feeling my stress due to finally moving into the house. This is how she reacted before we left Italy and now we are having similar issues. Well after my sleepless night I got to wake up to our car being broke into! Yup, some punk decieded to bust the driver's side window AGGGHHHHH!!!!! Seriously, what is wrong with people. This changed my plans for the entire day. I thankfully was able to get the window fixed right away so we can press on with moving this weekend. Needless to say that isn't how I planned my Friday. Today was supposed to be "Happy Move In Day" and has not started out so happy. Here's hoping that this afternoon goes a little bit better.

Home Sweet Home

We are officially home owners! Today Brent and I closed on our home. We are left with several emotions: relieved, excited and still some disbelief. It's hard to believe that we now have a place we can truely call home. It's been a challenge and at times frustrating living out of a suitcase for so long. Since Keely has been born we haven't really been able to take that deep breath in and exhale. From running around like crazy to get Keely's passport, to taking 3 plane rides overseas, then a wonderful cross-country drive, and finally living with Mom and Dad for two months (not that this is so bad, we're just ready to have our own place and own things, love you Mom and Dad). Needless to say we three are ready to settle down. Everyone has been so wonderful helping us along the way. Now our next journey is to create our home to hopefully a welcoming environment for many guests and visitors. Looking forward to having you all visit!!!

16 is Just Around the Corner

So thanks to cousins Trisha and Keira, Keely is now on her way to driving school! She actually figured out how to turn this thing on and off. Boy are we in for it when the day comes.

Jumpin Around

Keely LOVES her jumperoo. This girl can sure hit the hydrolics on this thing. She will sit in this for an hour, exploring and jumping. She cracks Brent and I up we just had to share the fun.

Kids grow fast!

Simon feeding cousin Keely.
"Little mom" Domilyse taking care of cousin Keely.
Can you believe this? After two years in Italy these kids have shot past me. Yup, Lydia and Jaccob are now taller than me. Crazy how the time goes and how fast these kiddos grow. I was shocked to say the least seeing how much they've changed. It wasn't until we saw the kids that I realized how long we've been gone. So glad to be back in NM!!!

Look what I found...

Got ya!
Hmm...what are these things?

Today Keely found her feet! This was the first time she started to play with them. It was oh so exciting for mom to watch her. I know what's next: feet in mouth (only if she can get past all that squish)!
