Making Sounds and on the Move

Keely has been making the funniest noises lately. Brent and I can sit and listen to her for hours. Here is a little glimpse of one her favorites to do with mom!



Last week we bought Keely a little toy to help her with the idea of walking. She seems to really get the concept, before we know it she'll be on the go with no help at all!

For Grandpop Pokie

Keely's Grandpop Pokie in Virginia is always asking  if she's wearing socks. I always tells him that we put them on, but they don't really stay on for very long. Keely is quite the master of pulling them off. Here she is in action. For some reason she believes they belong in her mouth (like every other object) instead of her feet. There you have it Grandpop! 

My New Chair

Keely has now upgraded from the Bumbo to her own highchair! Now she really feels like part of the family at dinner time. She even got to try her first dose of finger food, smashed bananas. She really enjoyed getting her fingers into them.

Pearly Whites....eh White.

Ok, finally a glimpse of the first tooth. If you look past the huge piece of celery you can see the little white tooth. Getting this picture was so much harder than you can imagine, but we got it!

Giving Mamma a smile! This was the first try to get a pic of the little whiteness in the mouth. I know it's hard to see (that's why the celery came in handy).

Soon we'll have a mouth full of little teeth buds in there. But at least we were able to capture "the first one". On another note, Keely wanted to be sure to say "Happy Birthday" to her Paw-paw today. Yesterday we went over to Paw-paw and Mee-maw's house where she helped Mee-Maw make his birthday cake. Man did Keely want to dip into that frosting, but she's got a few more months before we venture to the cake. Happy Birthday Paw-paw!

The Forbes Family

This weekend some friends of ours from Italy came to visit. We had so much fun getting together and seeing Alyssa and Keely play together. The last time Alyssa was with Keely she wasn't much of a playmate. As always we had a great time visiting with old friends!

Cutting Teeth + Tylenol = Very Happy Baby

Ok, so not exactly protocol for Tylenol uses, but whatever works! Right? Today was a bit moody with that tooth cutting (i.e. not napping well, not much of an appetite, and LOTS of crying) but we made it through the day. We'll see how tomorrow pans out.

First Tooth!

Keely's first tooth FINALLY cut! This morning while feeding her, she took a little break and was laughing and smiling (like usual) when suddenly I saw this white spot on her bottom left gum. My thought was "what is that and when did it get there". I then felt the gum and sure enough a little roughness from the top of the tooth is what I felt. I was is such shock. She's been teething for quite a while now and I kept thinking "when will this thing just cut". And then out of nowhere today there it was. I tried my hardest to get a picture but that's next to impossible. Guess we'll just wait for that pearly smile that's coming!
