Happy Halloween!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN FROM OUR LITTLE DUCKLING!!!!

What a good sport our little girl is. She is all ready for the trick-o-treater's to come by tonight. We're not going to be taking her out this year, no candy yet for this toothless mouth. Still, I didn't think there would be harm in dressing up. Once again, Happy Halloween Everyone!

Mirror, Mirror

Mirror, Mirror on the bathroom wall, who's the funniest girl of them all! I know I have said this over and over but this girl really cracks me up. I won't be able to count the number of wrinkles I will have from laughing at her. Who needs a T.V. when you have this for entertainment! (P.S. Please don't mind the high pitch squeals of mom).

Triplets?!?!?!

Got ya! No we are NOT having triplets, but if we did this is what it would look like. The Sloan's came over on Sunday for a BBQ and Keely got to have her buddies over. Needless to say we had a ball as always. It is so much fun getting these kiddos together we laugh constantly. It's going to be so much fun to watch these guys grow together throughout the years. Too cute, right?

Keely Marie meets Keely Ann

Many have asked us where we got the name Keely from. Well, meet "Big Keely". This is my cousin Keely from St. Louis. I have always thought her name was so pretty and when we had our little girl I knew that's what I wanted her name to be. Now we have "Big Keely" and "Little Keely".  So there you go, that's where Keely got her name.

Look what I can do!

Keely can now roll over! She started a few days after we moved into the house. Now she is our little rollie pollie.

Not only is this girl a little rollie pollie, she is having so much fun laughing at her mamma.

4 Month Check-Up

So yesterday we went to the doctor for Keely's 4 Month appointment. What a difference from the two month. Are you ready..(drum roll please)...15lbs 7 1/4 oz! This girl is now in the 90th percentile for weight. So any worries about getting enough milk from nursing were rest assured. This girl is a healthy eater! She is now 24 1/2 in. and head circumference 39. cm. Overall the Doctor was very happy with our beautiful little girl. She is doing great, hitting all the milestones and looks healthy which is the most important. Her right eye still has a blocked tear duct, but the doc said that this is still normal and they don't worry or do anything until about 12 months old. So just continue to wipe with warm water and massage. He also said I'm still ok to not rush into the solid food. So I'll probably wait a bit longer before we dive into that adventure. Anyway, happy to report healthy baby!

Feels like Fall

Our happy, fall beauty!
Sitting up like a big girl...
So today was the first day it actually felt like fall. The smell of the crisp air reminds me of all the wonderful events that are just around the corner. We are feeling more and more cozy in our new home. Keely has done so good adjusting (once again) into the home and having her room. She's been so patient with us as we've moved in. She is discovering more and more noises that she can make and continuously entertains Brent and I. Does she not just look so adorable in her fall dress?

Big Improvements

Keely finally has her own room!
Look, I found my kitchen.
The upstairs loft, box free!

The unpacking is coming along and we have some MAJOR improvements around the house. Of course we still have things to do here and there but we're pretty much moved in (finally). This weekend we are going to do some shopping to start putting the finishing touches to the house. Bring on the shopping!!!

What a difference!

Keely on Father's Day.
Keely today! Look how that belly fills out that shirt. It's incredible how much changes in just a few months. At this age every moment truely does count.

No fun

Somewhere in here is our kitchen...

For those of you who don't know, unpacking is no fun, and I mean no fun. Sure, you find those items that you forgot you had and it feels like Christmas but besides that brief encounter with excitement the rest is boxes, papers, and crazy chaotic mess! Don't get me wrong, I am so, so happy to be in our home (finally) and have my things again. Just give me a few more days to get settled and then I'll turn this frown upside down.

Just one of those days....

Do you ever have one of those days that you just wish you could go back to bed and go ahead and skip to the next day? Well that is today for me. Last night was a rough night with little Keely. After several weeks of sleeping nights, we've hit a bump in the road. This week has been full of sleepless nights and I'm stumped! After talking to a good buddy of mine all that I can think is that Keely is feeling my stress due to finally moving into the house. This is how she reacted before we left Italy and now we are having similar issues. Well after my sleepless night I got to wake up to our car being broke into! Yup, some punk decieded to bust the driver's side window AGGGHHHHH!!!!! Seriously, what is wrong with people. This changed my plans for the entire day. I thankfully was able to get the window fixed right away so we can press on with moving this weekend. Needless to say that isn't how I planned my Friday. Today was supposed to be "Happy Move In Day" and has not started out so happy. Here's hoping that this afternoon goes a little bit better.

Home Sweet Home

We are officially home owners! Today Brent and I closed on our home. We are left with several emotions: relieved, excited and still some disbelief. It's hard to believe that we now have a place we can truely call home. It's been a challenge and at times frustrating living out of a suitcase for so long. Since Keely has been born we haven't really been able to take that deep breath in and exhale. From running around like crazy to get Keely's passport, to taking 3 plane rides overseas, then a wonderful cross-country drive, and finally living with Mom and Dad for two months (not that this is so bad, we're just ready to have our own place and own things, love you Mom and Dad). Needless to say we three are ready to settle down. Everyone has been so wonderful helping us along the way. Now our next journey is to create our home to hopefully a welcoming environment for many guests and visitors. Looking forward to having you all visit!!!
