My Special Girl

I am just loving special time with my special girl lately. She has become a lot more cuddly (which she has never been a cuddle bug) and really loves to give hugs. Randomly Keely will come up to Brent and myself hugging our leg or sit next to us on the couch wrapping her little arms around our neck always followed by a sweet kiss. It sure is special. I know one thing...I'm not complaining!

Football Season is Back Again!

The air is feeling brisk, the leaves are starting to change colors, the State Fair has began, and Football season has started up again....it must be Fall! Brent is really excited to have his own little Giant's club this year. Keely shouts "gooooo Giant's" any time she sees any football (toot-toot ball) game on. She and Brayden proudly sported the red, white, and blue today to support the team.

See, they are so into the game they couldn't even look at Mom to take the picture.
Ready to wear Daddy's Hat.
Strutting the jersey and slippers.
Game time!
Ready....TOUCHDOWN!

ABQ Jump!

Last weekend Keely was invited to a birthday party for our neighbor to ABQ Jump. It was in the middle of Brayden's nap so it was a perfect opportunity for Keely and Daddy time while I stayed home and relaxed during nap time. Apparently it was a B.L.A.S.T.!!! Everyone was so amused watching this little 2 year climb up the obstacles and going down the slide without a fear in the world. She sure kept up the pace with the big kids and was just so happy to "jumpe, jumpe, jump" while Daddy cheered her on! :)

Umm...How in the World?!?!

So this evening we were getting the kids ready for bed early because we were taking a trip to the airport to welcome home a friend coming back from a tour from Afghanistan. Brayden was ready, Keely was ready, Brent was getting ready and I was running around trying to gather everything so we could get on time.

Now for the crazy part...I came downstairs to check the flight status. Brent was getting ready and thought I was upstairs checking the status i.e. still watching the kids. As I am checking the flight status I hear Brayden cry (normal). But then the cry becomes a scream and begins to escalate even more. Finally I run upstairs to see what the heck is going on. I hear the cry coming from the kids bathroom. I quickly open the door only to find BRAYDEN STUCK IN THE TOILET!!!!! To answer your first question, NO, thankfully he was not face down (or this would be a whole other story). And for the second how did he get there, I still have no idea. Aside from the fact that Keely's stool was by the toilet for the attempted potty training this weekend. But how he was in there, feet first is still beyond me. I wish I had a picture to show the proof of this sight, however I chose not to torture the horrific moment any longer for him and grabbed a towel to immediately remove him. I must admit I was laughing by the sight of my son, but it sure left me wondering...HOW IN THE WORLD?!?!?!

B & D

Daddy boot camp is in session. And as you can see it is torture. The first few tries of getting Brayden up he refused, but now he is getting the hang of it and with more practice walking will be just around the corner.
