HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

One year ago today our life was forever changed when our dear, sweet girl arrived. It is so amazing to me to see what happens in one year. The past year has been so amazing and so much fun, I've enjoyed every moment with my precious girl and can't explain the pride, joy, and most of all love that I have for her. Happy 1st Birthday to little Keely Marie!

Getting into...

EVERYTHING!!! That's what Keely seems to be doing these days, anything and everything. And she loves to climb, that seems to be her new trick. And here she is mastering it well.
First, she tries her doggie out...
then she thinks, I'm gonna give it a try.
See if you can catch me Daddy!
Too late Daddy, I'm too fast.
When I say she's into everything, I mean everything.

Weekend Fun

Since the weather here in NM has been unseasonably hot, we decided to get Keely her own little pool for Summertime fun. This weekend we tried it out and she had a blast. She also learned a new trick, learning to climb in and out of the pool on her own. Along with the pool Keely had her first taste of cow's milk this weekend. I know, American Academy of Pediatrics says not until babies are 12 months of age, but she is only 2 weeks away and so we decided to go for it. She was a little unsure of it at first (I think the temperature took some getting used to) but then she didn't look like she had a problem at all. Here's a little look at our weekend...

Enjoying the cool pool!
Chugging some milk.

Keely and A.B.

A glimpse at the future...
Keely: "I just love this page, the colors go great with my outfit, don't you think?"
Abe: Girls! I'm outta here...
Keely: "Is it the outfit, it's too much huh?"
Oh, these two just don't know what they're in for (or maybe it's the parents???)

It's a Sign!

Keely did her first sign last night! I couldn't believe it. I was doing dishes and as usual Keely was giving Mom a helping hand (meaning taking all the dishes out of the dishwasher). One item she took out was her bottle. She was holding the bottle then looked up at me and did the sign for "milk". I just looked at her bugged eyed in shock. I asked her, "do you want some milk?" and again she did the sign! So I made a quick bottle for her and that girl chugged it down. I'd like to say that I've been doing the signs that we started with (milk, eat, and more) consistently but I haven't. It was amazing though to see that even though I haven't been following through the way I should that she still picked it up. Of course this has inspired me to get on top of it and ensure I'm using those signs. It was just amazing to have her be able to tell me what she wanted. Hopefully it will stay, regardless, this Mommy is very proud of her little girl.

First Mother's Day

What a memorable and beautiful first Mother's Day! I received the wonderful gift of extra sleep from my wonderful hubby as he got up and got Keely ready for the day. I was then greeted by my beautiful girl with a card for her Mommy. We spent the afternoon at the zoo, and although it was a hot day we were able to find some nice shade in the park eating lunch and enjoying the music of the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra. Keely had fun practicing her new walking skill and even showed us her strength pushing her stroller in circles. This past year has been so amazing for me and there is nothing I love more than being Keely's Mama. She brings me such joy and always brings a smile to my face. Thank you my sweet girl for having the best job in the world!

It's supergirl! This girl pushed this thing all over the place.
My wonderful family (it's the best one we could get)

It's a Boy!!!!!

That's right, a little brother for Keely!
Meet Brayden Edward Duncan. He's growing beautifully and very healthy. Here is a profile picture of our baby boy. He was being very difficult when it came to getting a picture of his face. He kept hiding it by looking down but we finally got one!

Here I am a year ago, 37 weeks prego with Keely...
and here I am one year later 20 weeks, prego AGAIN! There you go Sar, belly pics!

Things are feeling so much more real now. I feel him moving more and more and now we know more about the addition to our family. Brent and I are so excited to experience the difference from having a little girl to having a little boy. And even though I know she doesn't understand, Keely squealed with excitement when I told her she was going to have a little brother!

This girl has too much fun in the mornings...
