Santa Claus!

This year has been so exciting as we get closer to Christmas. We've been talking to Keely, telling her about Santa, pointing him out in books, and gearing her up for when he will come to Keely's house and we'll make cookies for him! She has been so excited and so we couldn't wait to take her to see Santa. I was nervous knowing that the visit could go one way or another. Especially being reminded by my own parents about my first visit to Santa (let's just say that their were tears and it wasn't pretty). But to our MUCH surprise both kids did GREAT and the visit with Santa was a hit! Keely was a bit unsure at first but a quick wave from Santa was enough to comfort her for a big hug! Brayden did great too! He gave a great big smile and even refrained from the "love pats" he frequently gives his sister. So proud of both kids and can't wait for Santa Claus to come to town.... ;)

Fill the House with Merry!

So I just love Christmas time. I mean I just L.O.V.E. Christmas! There is just something so fun and joyful about this time of year. So when Thanksgiving weekend comes around, yes I enjoy the yummy food, but what I most look forward to is knowing we will break out the Christmas decorations. I put on the music and tears fill up my eyes because it makes me so happy. And this year is looking to be extra special with the kids. Seeing the excitement in Keely's eyes as she saw the tree and says "Merry Kissmas" to turning on the snowman singing "We wish you a Merry Christmas" and watching both her and Brayden dance. It's these precious moments that make this time of year so wonderful. Being cozy with my family and the togetherness this holiday brings. All these moments make me savor each moment over the next month.

Starting to decorate the tree.
Brayden loving the "ball!"
Getting a boost from Dad.
Taking a break, it can be a lot of work putting up decorations!
The last touch to the tree.
Can't forget the doggies, they are in their Christmas best.
Our Tree!
The stockings hung by the chimney with care...
Our first year with lights on the house. So proud of Brent!
(Yes that is a Santa blow up in the front, what can we say when we go for it...we go for it!)

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! We hope you all had wonderful long weekend filled with family and fun. We most certainly did! All five of us girls with families made it to Mee-Maw and Paw Paw's house. Adding the newest addition to the family Baby Sydnee!

We had a great day with family eating great food. (Every year I want to take pictures of the food but among all the chaos I seem to forget). I am always thankful for my family and what they mean to me. It's never easy gathering all of us together but makes those times so much more special. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Happy Veteran's Day Daddy!

Happy Veteran's Day to our favorite Vet! Today we recognize all the service men and women who have served or are serving. Keely, Brayden and I couldn't be more proud of Daddy! This is a little something that Keely made today at "pre-school" for her Daddy. Today we say thank you for the sacrifices you make for our family and our country. We also want to say thank you to all the other Veteran's out there who have served or are serving! Including Paw-Paw, Nana, and Pop Pop. We love you and thank you all!

Disney on Ice!

So on a last minute whim we decided to take Keely and Brayden to see Disney on Ice. We weren't too sure how they would react or how they would do sitting for a few hours but they both surprised us and we had a wonderful afternoon! We saw so many of our dear friends. Keely was so excited to see Mickey Mouse and the Lion King. The show was great, but explaining to Keely she couldn't have a turn ice skating was interesting. Other than that a great family fun day!

Waiting anxiously for Mickey Mouse!
Mickey and the whole gang!
The Lion King
Timon and Pumba
The Little Mermaid (Ursala was a bit scary)
Under the Sea!
Lilo and Stitch
Brayden getting a little tired at the end.
Peter Pan and the all famous Tinkerbell!

We're Walking!

Well almost. Brayden took his first steps today!!!!! I wish I could say we got it on film but he decided to finally go for it tonight while we were doing the bedtime routine. So the camera was downstairs while we were upstairs and we couldn't be more excited or proud. The first half step was towards Keely, Brayden looked like he was trying to get her. Then while I was holding him, he took a few steps to Daddy. After brushing his teeth Daddy gave him some more practice where he took about 4 steps from Daddy to the coffee table. I can't believe my baby boy is starting to take the steps to walking. Yay for our big boy!!!!

Happy Halloween

Have I mentioned before how much I LOVE fall! Last weekend the kids and I made it to the annual farm festival here in Los Lunas. The kids had so much fun looking at the animals, walking through the corn maze, getting faces painted, and taking a jump in the sand corn box! We had so much fun and geared up all week for some much anticipated trick-or-treating. Keely fashioned a beautiful Belle costume picked out by Daddy. She really got the hang of it running from door to door saying "tic o tweat". Brayden kicked back and relaxed munching on every piece he could get his hand on a few pieces of candy. We had so much fun and of course the best part was eating the candy when we were done. Happy Halloween everyone!

Poor Brayden Boy

My poor Brayden Boy is cutting 5, yes 5 teeth!!! All four molars and one front bottom tooth. All things considered he is doing really well. In pretty good spirits for so much going on. Once all these have cut through he will have 12 teeth. I guess he's plenty ready for his first dentist visit this week. Although, my guess is it won't be as smooth as Keely's first visit. This boy does NOT like to have his teeth brushed. Unless he's the one doing it. Wish us luck at the dentist!

Brayden's Birthday Party

I know this is a bit late, but there has been a lot happening lately. So here is a glimpse of the big boy's big day! We had so much fun celebrating our baby boy turning 1 with family. Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate the wonderful day!

TWINS!

Meet the newest babies in the Duncan house. Yes, I finally gave in. It was a loosing battle that I could not continue to fight. So here they are. They are mixed breed,Dachshund/Yorkie....Dorkie!!!! LOL Brent pretty much had me sold at that. So here are our Dorkies, brother and sister. Already we see distinct personalities. The girl is spunky just like Keely and the boy is a cuddle bug just like Brayden boy. We are still playing around with the names so once we've got that figured out I will let you know. As you can see from the photos, the kids are not fond of them at all. It's really a shame they are not happy about it (insert sarcasm). Unfortunately, I was at work when Brent came home to show the kids the newest family members. But he did capture the moment on camera. See below for Keely and Brayden meeting their new brother and sister!
