Ready to go Shopping Man!
Keely's ready to make her fashion statement to the world, now I just need my purse (and diaper bag, and car seat, and, and, and). I personally love her new way of carrying the purse. Last week we made a stop at Autie Sarah's house and Keely was having a blast playing with the boys Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head. We couldn't help but "pierce" her ears for the day with some beautiful island earrings. She topped it off with the Mardi Gras beads, just don't tell Dad how she got those.

The New Hangout
Lately the bathroom has been Keely's new zone to explore. She darts from her bedroom to the nearby bathroom stands up next to the bathtub and then goes to town "playing drums". It is absolutely hilarious. And do not think this one is her only hangout, when she's in my room she's sure to find her way to our bathroom and does the same on our bathtub. The only difference is she can touch the faucet handles and thinks its something to suck on. Oh the bathroom adventures!

Little Brother or Little Sister?!?!?
That's right....Keely is going to be a BIG sister! Brent and I received the shock of our life when we found out this week that we are expecting Baby #2. To answer your question, no this was not planned. However we are thrilled to be adding the next addition to our family. We won't have our first doctor visit for several weeks but as of now we are looking at a mid-end September due date. I'll continue to update as we progress (yet again) in this pregnancy. I still can't believe it, but the proof is in the pudding so to speak.

Teething is for the Birds!
Man was today a LONG day. Keely started the day by waking up early and more fussy than usual. After going down for her morning nap that generally lasts 2-2 1/2 hours she woke up an hour into her nap very, very fussy. All day long this little girl was so clingy and just wanted to be held by Mommy. Of course this was Mom's cleaning day where she needed Keely to play contently with her toys so Mommy could mop. Poor Keely did not feel good all day. Needless to say that cleaning did not go as planned, naps did not happen today, and Mom is turning in early tonight. By the end of the day we still didn't feel any teeth cutting, but when she let's me (which is almost never) I can see those puffy gums and white hidden underneath. They are in there just waiting to make their grand appearance! Let's hope, pray, beg, that tomorrow is a better day.

Precious, Drooling Smiles
Keely has been one lean, mean, drooling machine for the past couple of weeks. Yup, she's teething. Her bottom gums are puffy as can be and we can see the white in the gums. I still don't feel them cutting yet, but only a matter of time. So for now our smiles are just a little juicy (and so are her kisses). I'll take them!

Can Someone Please Stop the Maddness!
I believe it was just a month ago that crawling finally took off, well here we go on to the next challenge. Keely is very much enjoying standing and walking with Mom and Dad's help. You really should see the look of accomplishment on her face when she is standing or moving around. Do they really just keep growing so quickly or do we ever get to hit that pause button? Okay, so I know the answer but if anyone does have that magic remote could you loan it to me. Thanks!

Let the Games Begin
This girl is a lean, mean, crawling machine. There's just no stopping her now. Now that Keely has got crawling down, she's moved on to her next task. Standing and walking (with Mom and Dad's assistance of course). She loves walking around the house now and showing off to Dad. Pictures of that are soon to come. These were taken the other night. Keely found a tunnel in the coffee table, just her size!

First Christmas and New Year
Happy New Year everyone! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed time with family and friends. Sorry for being on top of the blog but we've had a very busy few weeks. This Christmas my entire family was here and it's been several years since all of us "Hillard" girls have spent Christmas together. Auntie Teresa and her fiancee Brad came from Oklahoma and Auntie Cheryl, Uncle Damian and all Keely's cousins were up from Carlsbad. We all had so much fun spending time together. Keely enjoyed her first Christmas, well I should say we all enjoyed experiencing Christmas with her. She enjoyed the paper and boxes. Here are a few moments that captured her Christmas.

A Day of Rock Band
After the holiday's we enjoyed a visit from Cousin Derek and his wife Eileen. They were passing through on their way back home to Arizona. This was the first time for us to meet Eileen and we all had a great visit. Somehow I didn't get any pictures from the visit though. Needless to say we've had and eventful holiday season and are looking forward to next year. We hope everyone had a safe New Year and that 2009 will bring just as much joy and happiness that 2008 did!
